SCORN Dub / Experimental / Ambient / Industrial

Scorn is the one-man project of former Napalm Death drummer Mick Harris. Nic Bullen (one of the founder members of Napalm Death in 1981) was also a member of the project from its inception in 1991. Bullen left the group in April 1995.

Musically, much of the output has been minimalist beats with an emphasis on very deep basslines, often resembling dub and trip-hop in structure. Despite these resemblances, Scorn is often associated with industrial and experimental music, and is considered a rare example of a successful industrial/downtempo crossover artist. Scorn is recorded in Mick Harris' home studio, "the box".

Starting in 2006 Mick Harris has stepped up activities as Scorn, starting with the 10" 'Whistle For It', which (much to Mick's dismay) was so poorly mastered as to have lost Scorn's trademark low end. 2007 will see two 12" on Combat Records (each with one new track and a remix by someone from the Combat stable) as well as a long awaited full-length entitled 'Stealth' on Brooklyn's Resist label, a sub/sister label of OHM Resistance.

Mick Harris also has another lesser known side project called Lull. Lull's sound is more ambient and textural with less emphases on heavy low BPM beats, and more of a rich soundscape feel.
