L'ENFANCE ROUGE (FR/IT) Noise Rock / Avant Garde / Rock
L'enfance Rouge
THE RED CHILDHOOD. More than 2000 concerts from 1995, from Vilnius to Tbilissi, from Swinoujscie to Sevilla as from Prague to Tunis, invited by international festivals, theatres and clubs. Electricity. Blue lights. Still uncontrolled.   Avant-rock. Without boundaries, neither musical nor geographical. The European press talks about them as crossroads between introversion and acceleration, between cerebralism and wildness or barbarity. Unpredictables.    SOME CONCERTS : Montreux Jazz Festival (CH), Fusion Festival (DE), Festival Musicas Do Mundo (Sines, P), Klangbad Festival (DE), Dour festival (B), MacBa museu d’art contemporani de Barcelona (SP), LEM festival (SP), Festival Les Suds (Arles, F), festival Garorock (Marmande-F), festival Artefacts (Strasbourg-F), festival Musiques Volantes (Metz-F), festival Rockomotives (Vendôme-F), festival des Volcaniques de Mars (Clermont Ferrand-F), Festival itinérant Trasporti Marittimi (Europe), festival BadBonn Kilbi (CH), festival Bear Rock (Andenne-B), Brise-Glace (Annecy-F), Maroquinerie (Paris-F), L'Antipode (Rennes-F), L'Ampli (Pau-F), Grand Mix (Tourcoing-F), la Laiterie (Strasbourg-F), la Cave à Musique (Mâcon-F), l'Olympic (Nantes-F), Noumatrouff (Mulhouse-F), VIP (St Nazaire-F), Antirouille (Orléans-F), Dachstock Reitschule  (Bern-CH), L'Ancienne Belgique ( Bruxelles-B), 4ad (Dixmuide-B), G's Club (Barcelona-E), Col-legi Major L. THE EX (NL) Noise / Rock / Jazz / Post-punk
The Ex
The Ex will play an exclusive show with appearance of Ken Vandermark   The adventurous, innovative Dutch band The Ex just celebrated its 33â…“ year anniversary with a series of festivals. Not merely retrospective but primarily forward-looking and adventurous. Among the many guests invited were young as well as seasoned experimental, improvising and other exciting musicians from Amsterdam, Berlin, New York, Chicago, Ethiopia, Scandinavia and Great Britain. The Ex have defied categorization ever since they started playing in 1979. Born out of the punk explosion, when anything and everything was possible, the band have still managed to retain both curiosity and passion for their music. Using guitars, bass, drums and voice as ther starting point The Ex have continued to musically explore undiscovered areas right up to the present day: the early 1980s saw collaborations with jazz musicians and an Iraqi-Kurdish band. In the 90s the group found a myriad of partners from varied musical and non-musical backgrounds including Kamagurka, Tom Cora, Sonic Youth, Han Bennink, Jan Mulder, Shellac and Wolter Wierbos. In 2002 The Ex set up a lively musical exchange with Ethiopia, which eventually led to two CD recordings and hundreds of concerts with the legendary saxophonist Getatchew Mekuria. After 33â…“ years, more than 25 albums and around 1800 performances the band continues to work as they did in when they began, completely independent of record companies, managers or roadies. Because of this ‘do it yourself’ work ethic The Ex is still a great example for other forward-thinking bands and musicians. “Staying a bird, staying independent, free if you will, for three decades, that takes skill and something else, something more like heart.” Music journalist John Corbett on The Ex. VITAS GUERULAITIS (BE/FR) Dada / Zouk
Vitas Guerulaitis

Vitas Guerulaïtis comprises three french activists who sought refuge in Brussels. One may wonder what brought the trio together as their drummer (David Costenaro) is an image editor who loves monoskiing and worships Jim Thompson, their keyboard player (Célia Jankowski) specialises in performance and studies the behaviour of flies, and their guitar player (Ismaël Colombani) is a mystical violin player who gives lectures once in a while.

Their debut album has been released on Cheap Satanism Records in conjunction with French label Tandori (Drive with a Dead Girl, Maria Goretti Quartet). Vitas Guerulaïtis are tightrope walkers who prefer to work without a net. They will even do the splits and achieve a subtle balance between dadaist punk and psychedelic kraut rock which will turn your skull upside down.

SPAGGUETTA ORGHASMMOND (BE) Zouk / Festif / Italian
Spagguetta Orghasmmond
