Noxagt
Noxagt is a Norwegian rock band. It started as a Kjetil Brandsdal solo project in 1999, but was expanded to a power trio in 2002, with Brandsdal on bass, Nils Erga on viola and Jan Christian L. Kyvik on drums. Erga was replaced by Anders Hana on electric guitar in 2005.   Noxagt have a unique sound. The members are involved with a number of musical projects across different genres. Hana also plays with MoHa, Ultralyd and the Ingebrigt Flaten Quintet. Brandsdal also plays bass in Ultralyd and Hellfire. Kyvik plays guitar in Hellfire.   Noxagt is currently not signed to Load Records. A new record entitled Brutage is to be released in early 2014.
Shearing Pinx
Shearing Pinx are an Experimental/Punk rock band from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. Formed in 2005, the band is made up of Nic Hughes (Vocals/Guitar), Jeremy Van Wyck (Drums) and Erin Ward (Guitar).   The band has over 50 releases including vinyl records, cassettes and CDs, most of which are on singer Nic Hughes’ own record label Isolated Now Waves.    The band is often associated with The Emergency Room venue in Vancouver and was featured in an article about Vancouver’s “Weird Punk Scene” in the Canadian Music Newspaper Exclaim!.
Sida

Sweet Rot's Strasbourg series continues (after releases by The Anals, A.H. Kraken, The Feeling of Love and Teledetente 666) with the debut 7" by SIDA. You could make the case that each of the four songs here has elements of the aforementioned bands but SIDA clearly have their own thing going on with the bordering on tribal drumming, the subdued synth, the strong female vocals, and the sometimes droning/sometimes no-wavy guitar all expertly recorded by (who else?) Seb Normal. The 7 minute a-side track "Apollo 13" is a lurching, hypnotic jammer that the word "epic" was invented for. The flip side has three shorter blasts, some rhythmic and glammy, some freaked out and noisy. 300 copies with some seriously great cover art on the usual deluxe Sweet Rot style sleeve.

GURA (BE) Doom / Sludge / Noise / Jazz
Gura
Belgian experimental sludge band GURA have been around since 2004. With only bass and drums laying out the blueprint of their music, they had a surprisingly rich musical vocabulary, adding mathematical and abstract (poly)rhythms to the mix. In 2014 GURA teams up with Ludo, a long-time Zorn-esque free jazz saxophone blower and vocalist, who immediately tuned in to the nobarriers vortex of controlled noise and structured chaos, opening the gates to aural multiverses of yet unknown power and frantic brink-ofmadness cacophony. With the duo expanded to a trio, they shaped their new album 'Caligura' showing the world the two sides of GURA: the first part of the album is a hectic soup of underground sound, an amalgamation of precise mathematical computing and spontaneous emotional melodies, supercharged with negative energy and an alldestroying rage towards the whole of creation. The second part brings a nearly unending chain of misanthropic doom riffs, a sullen mindscape that predicts nothing but the sense of barren isolation.
