Minnesota’s Vaz is one of the rock ‘n roll nuts and represents another major score for the little NYC label that could.  Relatively established in their own right, Vaz was founded some time in the late-ish 90s by refugees from the highly influential noise rock band Hammerhead.  Originally touring about as a two-piece duo, Vaz was generally lumped together with other noise-ified bare-bones rock acts like Lightning Bolt, early Hella, and Pink & Brown

Poino is a British rock band from London, United Kingdom that formed in 2009.   The band pack together three divergent musical minds and unfurl a fractious monster, heaving with ideas and loaded with possibility. At one moment thunderous and choking, the next disguising calm with a creepy, anxious tension.    Since releasing their debut album Moan Loose in 2010 they have gone on to successfully navigate their pointed mayhem through well over 100 venues up and down the European landscape. Their live show delivers an audiovisual, twisting havoc in spades and after a spell away from the stage to complete their second record, 2014 will see a welcome return to the live arena off the back of it’s release.
