Andy Moor (Dog Faced Hermans/The Ex)
Born in London England 1962 Andy began his musical life in Edinburgh, Scotland playing guitar with the band Dog Faced Hermans, a multi faceted eclectic group that mixed energetic post punk energy with traditional tunes and improvisations.... In 1990 he moved to the Netherlands after an invitation to join Dutch band The Ex and continues to be a full time member of this band....the openess and versatility of the musicians in this group has brought them intocontact with many musicians from different scenes and backgrounds..including Tom Cora(cello), Han Bennink(drums), Wolter Wierbos(trombone), Djibril Diabate (kora) John Butcher (sax) and Anne james Chaton (sound poet). <br><br> In 95 he performed his first series of completely improvised concerts as a duet with Terrie Ex, and later released a video of the best performances. In 1996 he began another group with Tony Buck (Necks), Joe Williamson and Leonid Soybelman (Ne Zhdali) called Kletka Red...fusing traditional Klezmer, Greek and Russian songs with their own frantic styles of playing.... In more recent years Andy has involved himself more with the Amsterdam improvisation scene and has worked alongside electronic musicians as well as composing soundtracks for films and he performing regularily with dancers such as Magpie music and Dance Company with Katie Duck . <br><br> 2000 and onwards<br> not long after the millennium change andy began working more frequently with electronic musicians ..particularly kaffe matthews , yannis kyriakides , Thomas Lehn and Colin Mclean In the summer of 2000 he composed along with Anna McMichael (New Ensemble) a short soundtrack for a film called EPIC by artist Marion Coutts (Dog Faced Hermans). The following year he composed another soundtrack for her film No Evil Star. The year 2001 brought him into contact with more dancers including Martin Sonderkamp(Magpie) ..Body Weather Â….he also launched a new CD label along with composer and electronic musician Yannis Kyriakides and Isabelle Vigier called UnsoundsÂ… 2002 was spent touring extensively with The Ex in Europe USA and Ethiopia Â… <br><br> 2003 and 2004 he has worked with THERMAL (with John Butcher and Thomas lehn) and further with MAGPIE Music and dance Company and sound poet Anne james Chaton . <br><br> 2005 saw collaborations with dancer and choreographer Nora Heilmann with a piece called “Skunk” and with the The Ex and D’Electrique (a dutch theatre group established 25 years ago ) doing a performance of Anthony Burgess s “A Clockwork Orange “ <br><br> 2006 The year the Ex becomes a 4 piece again after 20 years Â….terrie and andy both use baritone guitars to replace the bassÂ…. Andy performed with his favourite DJ DJ Rupture and plans a future joint release with him on both their labels Â… Also a plan to ressurect a long awaited 4 tet called dairy ..with musicians Steve heather, Yannis Kyriakides and Joe Williamson Â….they have performed twice so far providing a live improvised soundtrack to a manipulated version of a 1929 Rene Clair film called The Crazy Ray Other plans this year include a solo guitar release on unsounds Â…and a possible second duo release with yannis this time working around the theme of rembetika music September 2006 Andy will compose music for a Toneel Theatre Group Amsterdam (pronounced ‘toenail’) who will perform a version of Wim wenders “Wings of Desire” in Amsterdam and Boston <br><br>
COLIN WAS THE BASS PLAYER FOR DOG FACED HERMANS ..AND PLAYS BASS NOW IN THE EX AND GETATCHEW PROJECT ...AND HAS BEEN WORKING IN THE FIELD OF ELECTRONICS THE LAST FEW YEARS WITH MAGPIE DANCE AND MUSIC COMPANY AND OT301 DANCE COMPANY .
Maitre-verrier de formation, et aujourd'hui artiste contemporain, Pierre Mansire exerce principalement a Amsterdam, mais aussi New-York ou Paris l’art de “ l’ Illumination “, ou devrait-on plutot dire “ l’ ‘Illuminaire “, art qu’il revendique comme une discipline a part entiere, au meme titre que le sont les disciplines qui lui sont proches telles que l' Architecture, La Danse, La Peinture et surtout la Musique. <br><br> Son periple l’aura mene du Nord de la France, d'ou, apres un passage a l’ERBA Dunkerque, il se rend a Nice afin d'y effectuer son apprentissage de compagnon-verrier. Grace a ces enseignements il approfondira d’une part sa connaissance de la lumiere qui deviendra son materiau de predilection mais egalement ses applications a l’architecture et l’environnement. Il developpe tres tot des techniques qui lui sont personnelles comme “ les percussions-lumieres (Action Lighting) ” ou ses interventions environnementales (Dynamic Colourfields), qui le mettront en contact avec de nombreux musiciens (Dirty Rats Rappers, Poupa Claudio, Nux Vomica), avec lesquels il effectue ses premiers concerts , alternant improvisations et compositions, mais egalement avec la scene artistique nicoise comme par exemple Ultra-Violet (ex- Warhol’s Factory) dont il devient l’assistant, mais surtout avec la fondation Yves Klein qui se rendra acquereur de sa toute premiere installation environnementale. <br><br> Il s’etablit ensuite aux Pays-Bas ou il fonde " l’ Atelier-Lumiere " et recoit ses premieres commandes officielles pour des oeuvres contemporaines concenant des monuments historiques (Cathedrale de Franeker XVeme (2002), Oldehove XVeme (2000) Â… ). Il expose egalement en galerie comme en musee (Fries Museum (2001, 2002) et centres d’art contemporain et participe a de nombreux festivals dont certains d' envergure internationale (Oerol 2003). A Amsterdam, il participe a trois reprises au Festival Robodock (2000,2004,2007), et sera egalement convie pour une performance a "Paradiso" (2001) et collabore enfin avec divers musiciens, de passage comme La Brocante Sonore (Bruxelles) ou residents comme recemment ( 2007 ) avec Andy Moor des "Ex". <br><br> De la, il est invite a Paris a plusieurs reprises (Le Divan du Monde (2002), Festival " Printemps des Poetes "(2003) aux Abesses avec “ Instant Limit ”(Marzan, Wallich, Nerovique, Coessens), Festival Rotonde de Choc Musiques inprovisees (2007),Studio Philippe Genty (2002)) ainsi qu’a New-York (PS 122 (2005), SubTonic (2003), Cave Gallery (2003)) ou il travaille en compagnie de Christine Bard (ex-Zorn), Aki Onda, et particulierement avec la danseuse butoh Moeno Wakamatsu ainsi que la choregraphe Vangeline (Vangeline Theater). <br><br> Installe desormais a Amsterdam, il y a cree son nouveau studio, “L’ Atelier Sauvage“ et se consacre entre autres a de nouvelles recherches, en particulier concernant l’ecriture (Poesie, Traductions et Theorie de L’Art), le film (Dance for Camera) et la photographie, tout en poursuivant celles relatives a ses “ improvisations ” et “ compositions ” environnementales. <br><br>

Brocante Sonore
La brocante sonore est un collectif de personnes spécialisées dans les actes de détournements et de récupérations sonores, gestuelles et tactiles. "Rien ne se crée, rien ne se perd"... en paraphrasant la célèbre maxime, la brocante se propose de faire découvrir des "instants" captés au gré des ondes (usage de postes récepteurs d'ondes courtes,FM, bruits atmosphériques) de micros parfois indiscrets (sons captés dans la rue, au cinéma, dans la nature), de sons (guitare préparée) et de gestes ordinaires (cirage de chaussures).
