1982 is a garage-rock band formed by Math Machine, Fred Riche and Johann Iron. While Mathias and Frédérick attended artistic courses for a few years at St Luc and La Cambre in Belgium, respectively. Johann, whos father is a diplomat, had a real globe-trotter schooling he attended the French Lycée of Turkey and also schools in Eastern countries. It was Fred who met the present « Machine » of 1982, he was regularly frequenting gigs of The Zoophils, a band in which Mathias used to drum for. Together, as proved musicians, they had an idea to form a band named after their common year of birth. As Frédérick had a wide experience of electronic music, the initial idea followed the same tendency until Mathias introduced Johann, a talented guitarist who totally changed the sound. From now on, the band would sound pretty much « garage » - taking their influence from all bands adored by The 1982’s: The Buzzcocks, The Toyotas, Roman Shower, The Reatards [etc] Not wanting to go around in circles with their musical direction Frederick Riche has now become the official singer of the garage trio and writes their lyrics, with the regular participation of Mr Iron. On stage the band gives an image of explosive rebellion and assumed casualness, whilst still staying very close to their audience whom they take great care of and have a lot of respect for.

Johnny boy s'est formé en octobre 2005 à Tours. C'est un duo minimaliste dans la forme, ne trouvant pas nécessaire l'aide d'un bassiste, ou d'un batteur. Ils utilisent des machines et une guitare. <br><br> S'appuyant sur l'esthétique punk, Johnny Boy ne se contente pas de jouer avec les clichés, trop facile, mais cherche. Toujours sur le fil, du punk rock, ou de la pop avec ou sans sons électroniques, Johnny Boy veut frapper. <br><br> Certains parlent d'un mélange entre Suicide et les Buzzcocks, mais Johnny Boy s'en fout, il avance. <br><br> Il a son actif une soixantaine de concerts (France, Allemagne, Belgique, Angleterre) et 2 premieres parties de THE RAKES (à l'astrolabe et au chabada). Influences : the clash – suicide - the libertine's - sex pistols - the jam - le tigre - ikara colt - blur- atary teenage riot – the kinks - the hives - buzzccoks - damned - pixies - kraftwerk - the stooges – the who – fugazi– the strokes – the cribs...... <br><br>
