Erecting vast sound walls streaked in heavenly celestial electronic whiteout,
AUN create a distinctive strain of kosmiche rooted shoegazing grind. Exploratory
entity for veteran Montreal experimental, electronic musician Martin Dumais, AUN
blossomed into its current duo form with Julie Leblanc, visual artist and
ambient musician who has been doing live visuals for AUN since its inception,
and started collaborating in the studio during the 2008 sessions for Alien8
Recordings release ‘Motorsleep'. Constantly evolving, upcoming releases have the
addition of vocals and percussion, resulting in a more song based and
rhythmically driven direction but all the while maintaining AUN's unique and
twisted character. With several highly praised albums for top tier labels, the
duo recently completed their first European tour and have performed at the
prestigious Mutek and FIMAV festivals.

KODIAK is not a band that you just play for enjoyment; it needs time and attention, but when it locks you in its slowly developing, pachyderm-paced punishing groove, KODIAK has a lot to offer, proving that monotony and monolithic heaviness are enough to make great songs, if you know how. Kodiak definitely know it

the music of N is like a mirror of the moment. regardless how much thinking and
planning went before. the sound captured by a "live"-recording setting comes
directly from the inside. amps + guitar are the instruments used, there is no
cut and paste afterwards nor any overdub...
all N-work is counted by numbersthat reflect the timeline of recording and / or the moment of the conclusion to go for the certain concept. all N-recordings (with the possible exception of
single-tracks) deal with a real place and so the title of any album does. N
decided to focus on the freshness that can only be achieved by recording-while-playing-the-first-time and went for that concept on allsolo-recordings since then, using a one guitar / two amplifiers setup with a chain of pedal-effects in between. with this it is possible to record exactly what happened in the moment of the inspiration. creating an aesthetic in sound that is based on a certain warm deepness, being highly attractable both for player and listener. during live-performance, N does not use any backing tapes nor prefabricated loops.
