Black Math Horseman is a female fronted mellow atmospheric doom metal outfit that consists of bass guitarist and vocalist Sera Timms, drummer Sasha Popovic, and guitarists Bryan Tulao and Ian Barry.
Formed in 2006 in Los Angeles, they were signed to Brooklyn label Tee Pee Records in January of 2009. The following April, just after a playing the 2009 South by Southwest, Tee Pee released their debut album, Wyllt, which was produced and engineered by Scott Reeder, one-time bassist for stoner rock pioneers Kyuss.
Black Math Horseman is touring europe in april and will also play at Roadburn 2011
"Black Math Horseman = Led Zeppelin's bombast + Black Sabbath's rhythm section + 1970s psych rock dilation + Isis' minimal-maximal dynamics. This is a horrible description, I know. But when listening to Wyllt, it's impossible not to hear decades of record collecting riffling by. Parts of "Deerslayer", for example, could have been on Badmotorfinger (Soundgarden chaneling Sabbath), Ritual de lo Habitual (Jane's Addiction channeling Zeppelin), and, of all things, She Hangs Brightly. Sera Timms' mostly cool-tempered voice suggests Nico on 4AD, complete with ghostly reverb. The gauzy "Torment of the Metals" recasts the Doors' "The End" as Krautrock. But though this record was raised on radio, no cuts are obvious singles, especially with Timms haunting the back of the mix. A college party soundtrack this is not."

SardoniS are a two man aural demolition crew from Belgium whose musical output encompass the pure, unadulterated brutality of High On Fire, the atmosphere of 5ive and the vintage swing n’ groove of early Black Sabbath. A throwback to stoney, blown-speaker Doom of that golden Man’s Ruin Records era but with a magic all their own.
The band was formed in the summer of 2006. They’ve released a 4 song EP on September 1st, 2008 and their debut was released on April 6th, 2010 in courtesy of MeteorCity Records.

Experimental rock, venomous noise music, progressive baroque hardcore, putting a label on this unusual band is no easy task. A crossroads that brings together diametrically opposed worlds and bridges the gap between extremes, led by a female voice at a cross between incantation and lyricism, Helium Horse Fly offers a musical journey that oscillates between tense breathing spells and cathartic violence.

Kool strings is a radio show each sunday on 48 FM in Liège.
Expect Indie Rock, Chanson and a lot of fun (and also some Zoulk for you)
