Black Rainbows
The Italian psych-fuzz trio Black Rainbows sound like the bastard offspring of ’70s hard-rock swagger and ’90s stoner-groove; hints of Black Sabbath, MC5 and Led Zeppelin fuse with liberal pinches of Nebula and Fu Manchu. Since 2007 the band have released three full-length albums, coupled with split releases with bands such as White Hills, Naam and Farflung, and finally the recently highly acclaimed Holy Moon Ep. They have also been regulars on stages across the world having now performed over 300 gigs.   New album Hawkdope is a perfect mix of MONSTER MAGNET-HAWKWIND-FU MANCHU; a psychedelic, lysergic storm of heavy space-rock containing nine brand new tracks.   Out 14th March 2015 worldwide for Heavy Psych Sounds Records.    The band will hit the road in Europe from 18th to 29th March and again from 28th April to to 6th May, followed by a mini UK tour at the end of May.   Shared the stage with band as: Airbourne, Nebula, Karma to Burn, Saviours, Jucifer, Farflung, Naam, Ancestors, Entrance Band, Fatso Jetson, Witchcraft, Dead Meadow, Black Mountain, Los Natas, White Hills, Micheal Davis from MC5, Vic du Monte     LINE UP: GABRIELE FIORI-GUITARS AND VOICE ALBERTO CROCE -DRUMS DARIO IOCCA-BASS
BLACK LUNG (US) Psychedelic / Stoner
Black Lung
In the deadly cold winter of 2014, Black Lung emerged from the underbelly of Baltimore with unprecedented amounts of volume. A union of Adam Bufano, Elias Mays Schutzman (of The Flying Eyes) and multi-instrumentalist Dave Cavalier, the trio toes the line between sonic pain and psychedelic bliss. With influences ranging from the raw edged blues-rock of early Black Keys and White Stripes to the stoned out riffage of Queens Of The Stone Age and Sleep, Black Lung seeks to create a sound that is as soulful as it is heavy. After releasing their self-titled debut (Grimoire Records/Noisolution) and being named "Best New Band of 2014" by the Baltimore City Paper, they embarked on their first short tour throughout Germany, Switzerland and Austria. Black Lung will now return to Europe in the Spring of 2015 for a three week tour surrounding their performance at the Rockpalast Crossroads Festival, filmed and recorded for German national television.       "Deadeyed enthusiasts of scorched-earth, sunbaked atmosphere who've not forgotten how to do good-and-proper soaring, snarling rock 'n' roll." - Baltimore City Paper       "This power trio came into its own a little over a year ago with its stately pound fully formed. Guitarist Adam Bufano and drummer Elias Mays Schutzman, both of The Flying Eyes, establish a patient rhythmic menace over which vocalist/guitarist Dave Cavalier adds distorted growls of melody and oomph. The trio’s self-titled debut on the impeccable local label Grimoire splits the difference of early Queens of the Stone Age majestic desert feel and True Widow’s hypnotic groove. More of this, please." - Baltimore City Paper
Big Fat Lukum
Stronger than ever with a 5 year stable line-up, Belgian power trio BIG FAT LUKUM managed to inventively brew their own blend of heavy rock. This little recipe of their own pushed them sharing the stage with legends of the heavy scene such as Black Rainbows, Glowsun, Peter Pan Speedrock, Snailking and recently a part of the hottest bands from the "rock psyche fuzz sludge" international scene as they are scheduled at the DesertFest Antwerp 2017.   Taking their roots from something between the foggy swamps of Wo Fat and the scandinavian forests of Monolord, BIG FAT LUKUM offer their own "chef speciality" made of old dusty legacy rock and modernity with a tendency for heavy powerfull riffs and groovy flow even as the atmosphere becomes sluggish and doom.   Each apparition of the band contributes to its reputation for the stage is the secular place where you could hear the echo of the burning world putting you face to face with a deliberate mist and a metallic crushing pressure.
