The Rebel Assholes

You're in California, on a beach, playing the guitar with your old friends, drinking beers, chatting up beautiful girlsÂ… And then ... Then you wake up in MontbéliardÂ… That's not the West Coast, that's the North East of France, colder & darker. Just forget your sunny dreams, here are The Rebel Assholes.

TRA started as a band in autumn 2003 and they've already played more than 15O concerts, in France and abroad. Inspired by bands such as Screeching Weasel, Burning Heads or Social Distorsion, TRA is a punk rock band that mixes strong guitars, melodic voices, and stirring choruses. A kind of high energy drink: the more you taste, the more you wantÂ…

After recording self produced demos, they released their first album, Me against myself, in march, 2007, on Productions Impossible Rcds (Hawaii Samurai, Hellbats, Two Tone Club, The IrradiatesÂ…). There were good critics for this first opus. Then they toured in France, Switzerland and Germany, where their music was very welcomed, wherever the band played (bars, festivals Â…). TRA also worked on different projects, such as compilations (Tribute to Les Sheriffs, a sampler for Punk Rawk Magazine 36, Mighty Worms' compilations 1/2/3) and a split record with The Bad Chickens, a punk rock band from France.

After touring Eastern Europe (Germany, Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic) in summer 2008, TRA composed a new album (mastered by Glenn Miller), released on January 2009. This second opus, Click and say yeah, on Productions Impossible Rcds, confirms that TRA deserve their place in the French punk rock scene. Just go and see them on stage in spring 2009 : you won't forget The Rebel Assholes (and not only because of their nameÂ…)!

You could see them on stage with Â…: Mad caddies (USA), Beatsteaks (D), Turbo AC's (USA), Cooper (NL), Peter Pan Speedrock (NL), Mother superior (USA), The Accidents (SWE), Gas Drummers (SP), Pepper (hawaï), Uncommonmenfrommars, Burning Heads, Guerilla Poubelle, Tagada Jones, Justin(e), Hellbats, Flying Donuts, Hawaii Samurai, The Elektrocution, The Pookies, Freygolo, Charly Fiasco, Twisted minds, ISP, Sons of Buddah, the Pookies, Jetsex, The Elderberries, Los Tres Puntos, and so many more !

Not Scientists
When Uncommonmenfrommars decided to take a break, Jim and Ed decided to start a new band or their girlfriends would make them get real jobs. They asked Le Bazile (No Guts No Glory) to play drums, and for some reason he said yes. At this point they would have been a kickass trio but Jim decided to throw a wrench in the works and play guitar. Luckily, they found a big guy who would be perfect for making sure they got paid at the end of the night, and he also happens to play bass.  They sought to boldly blaze musical trails that had already been well traveled by Toys That Kill, One Man Army, Superchunk, and a lot of other bands with way cooler names. 2014 will see the release of their debut “Leave Stickers on our Graves” EP in February on Delete Your Favorite Records, mixed by Jamie McMann (NOFX, Dead to Me, Swingin' Utters), and a busy tour schedule throughout Europe and Canada including an appearance at Montreal's Pouzza Fest in May. Fucked if we know. We're Not Scientists!
