Zuul Fx

Since the release of their first album "By the Cross " in 2005 ZUUL FX made a striking entrance into the metal world not only in France but also in Europe, where they were enthusiastically received.
Their live performances reinforced the massive support of the French media: magazines such as Hard Rock Mag and Rock One established the band as the new leader of the scene, while Europe2 TV, M6 Music Rock, MCM and MTV Pulse played all their videos.

ZUUL FX was rewarded by being featured on the cover of the magazine Hard N Heavy (November 2006), dedicated to the most important French metal bands. But ZUUL FX have not only been noticed in France : Bruce Dickinson played the album on BBC Radio 1. Key magazines such as Kerrang (UK), Metal Hammer (UK), Rock Hard Germany, Legacy (All), Metal Shock (IT) all praised the quality of their first album.

The new album «Live Free Or Die » has been released in March 2007. Whereas the basic structure remains powerful modern metal - mixing grooves, machines and precise riffs - the new ZFX sound has moved on from early descriptions as the missing link between Slipknot and Fear Factory.

In all its various shades and sounds, Zuul FX now fully confirm their seductive potential. For this album, the band did two videos so far : « Fight for the Cause », produced by Xavier Maingon (The Roots) and « I Never Forget », in which they used some images from the french cult movie « Zonzon » directed by Laurent Bouhnik (Select Hotel, Zonzon, 24h dans la vie d’une femme…). « Zonzon » has just been released as a DVD.

With «Live Free Or Die », ZUUL FX is booked on one of the biggest german metal festival, the With Full Force Festival in June 2007. Huge opportunities will show up on this festival : the band was scheduled to play on the Friday and made a great show.

The kids loved them so much and the promoter was so impressed that they offered the band the Static-X slot (who had cancelled their european tour) on the Saturday ! Zuul FX played a second show the day after on the Mainstage in front of 40,000 people, with the likes of Lamb Of God, Caliban and Slayer. This performance opened them the doors of a European tour with the famous NY hardcore band Pro-Pain in September and October 2007.

Since ZUUL FX started to tour Europe relentlessly to promote both albums, they have been sharing the stage with the likes of Korn, Machine Head, Gojira, Slayer, Lamb Of God, Trivium, Annihilator, Fear Factory, Motörhead, Hatebreed, Brujeria, Pro Pain, Napalm Death, Lofofora, Eths, Dagoba, Anthrax, and many others. They also played at prestigious festivals: With Full Force (Germany), Fury Fest and Metal Therapy (France).

HACRIDE (FR) Math Rock / Progressive / Metal
Hacride
Hacride returns with their new album 'Amoeba' which was co-produced by Frank Hueso & Mastered by J-Pierre Bouquet.

Hacride have been receiving enormous praise since the conception & release of their first album 'Deviant Current signal' from the worldwide underground scene & launched themselves upon an unprepared crowd with their - Deviant tour I and II - which was pretty much like a blitzkrieg over France & Switzerland. This tour gained a lot of attention in said territories for the band & pushed Hacride to reset the boundaries of themselves & work on an album that would set out the originality & complexity the band stands for.

More than one year of hardship & dedication went into the songwriting of this new album entitled 'Amoeba'. Hacride then locked themselves up in studio for over 4 months to give birth to this new monster. An album which is at the same time progressive, extreme & open minded, which was futher proven & strenghtened by the collaboration with the band & the néo-flamenco outfit - Ojos de brujo -. Powerful vocals, massive production, intricate polyrhythms & chunky riffing, everything is present & balanced with a lot of new elements to the genre to make this album a reference for years to come.

Amoeba promises to shatter more than one conception of what metal/hardcore is supposed to be & rocket the band into a new league, showing themselves as pioneers and not as followers. Judge for yourself & be amazed by the sheer display of talent & innovation that Hacride have to offer. Like it or not, Hacride are coming & taking over the world by storm!!

The Dying is a five piece metalcore outfit, hailing from the north-east part of Belgium called Limburg. The band started in the year 2000 under the name Chimaera. Twelve months later they recorded a self titled demo CD. The demo got nice reactions and the band started to play more and more shows.

In 2003 Chimaera's hard work was finally rewarded. The band made a record deal with Genet Records to release their first full length album 'Passion Sets The Killing'... The album was a blast and got good reactions all over Europe. Because of their excellent live reputation Chimaera kept playing shows like crazy. A short tour with Darkest Hour, a handful of minitours in the UK and a tour of ten days through East-Europe transformed Chimaera into a well oiled killing machine.

In 2005 Chimaera even played at the famous Graspop Metal Meeting and Pukkelpop, two of the biggest open air festivals in Belgium! Chimaera was also the support act for bands like Avenged Sevenfold, Himsa, 3 Inches Of Blood and The Black Dahlia Murder.

During the months March, April and May of that same year, Chimaera did the recordings of their second full album called 'Stygian' ... The expectations for this new record were huge. That's why Chimaera decided to work with a producer. Xavier Carion, the former riffmeister of Belgium's heaviest and most successfull band in history 'Channel Zero', was the chosen one. Chimaera also realised that the album, once it was recorded, had to get properly mixed and mastered. Therefor they went to the famous Fredman studio in Göteborg (Sweden) where Frederik Nordström (Dimmu Borgir, In Flames, Arch enemy, The Haunted, Darkest hour, At The Gates, Hammerfall, Opeth, Soilwork...) did the mixing. Goran Finnberg was responsible for the mastering and the finishing touch of the album. Once again the album was well received in the hardcore and metal scene. A European tour (from Estonia to Spain!!) and many new shows were planned to convince the world once again of Chimaera's astonishing live performance.

During the Summer of 2006 Chimaera decided to change their name into The Dying because it was too similar to the American 'Chimaira' and it confused a lot of people. Today The Dying is working hard on new songs so they can take the next step to total destruction. To be on top of the latest blurs, keep an eye on their webpage! Rock on!!

DOLLSEX's Latest Blog Entry [Subscribe to this Blog] [View All Blog Entries] About DOLLSEX Dollsex was founded in Charleroi in 1997 with the aim of doing concerts in the region.Over two years time, theyve played one concert after the other, won contests with flying sounds, and in 2000 recorded their first demo. The audience found the groups originality to be appealing in a very hard-core way. In 2001 they recorded another demo, included in local compilation created by Youth Associations. Notwithstanding around 70 concerts played with the likes Pleymo(fr), Linea 77(it), Blindside(sw), Wednesday 13(us), and recognition at prestigious competitions such as Emergenza, Concourt Circuit and Rock Around, the group hits a snag and splits at the end of 2001, as band members follow their own, diverging paths But by 2003 Dollsex are back together, with the same name but an added dimension. On the lookout for an originality without limits, today Dollsex has a sound in which styles as diverse as hardcore, death, hip hop, thrash and Nu metal can be heard. The result is on the 3-title demo recorded in October 2003 at Brussels Molière Studio. October 2006 : Release of their first album called SUPREMATISM, featuring 13 tracks recorded by Stefan Kraemer and Mastered By Alan Ward at Electric city. Dont forget, though: Dollsex defines itself as a band that must be seen live, rather than heard while sitting down on a soft couch. Its up to you to decide for yourself Were sure youll agree!
No End In Sight
The band was found back in November 2004 by four guys, who wanted to dispose their anger. They agreed to start a Hardcore project. It didn´t take long time till they had their first songs. A few months later No End In Sight recorded a demo CD called "Pray For Nothing". The first show of NEIS was their Record Release Party. Lots of shows followed. After a few line-up changes they are going to hit the road with a mix of brutal Hardcore and Metal. But the band has also influences like Deathmetal or Chaoscore. In March 2006 they recorded a song for a sampler with lots of other bands from their hometown Backnang. No End In Sight played together with Stuttgarts full metal jacket Crisis Never Ends, Opposition Of One, Never Back Down, Worlds Between Us, Undying Hope (ex-Behind Your Mask), Oberkirchs Metal Machine Lies Behind The Smile, Epilogue, Hatebrigade and many more. In the meantime No End In Sight is a confirmed part of the scene in Backnang.
CATARRHAL (BE) Death Metal
Catarrhal

The End Of All Reason is a non-stop evolving machine that combines extreme melodic riffing with elements of classic deathmetal and hardcore and turns it into a progressive mixture of styles. In an era where metal and hardcore bands are overpopulated, TEOAR has made it their number one priority to stand out.

When the band rose to its feet back in '04 their music was allready heavily influenced by swedish metal, but now, three years later, this band has got so much more to offer. With blistering live performances and a brand new EP on the way, they are eager to prove their evergrowing skills. Right now, the myspace contains an older song called 'Does a peacock need all those feathers?' which was recorded some time ago.
