Length Of Time

Since 1997 LOT has covered Europe and the rest of the world (USA, Iceland, Canada) supporting bands such as All Out War, Cold As Life, Biohazard and Morning Again, as well as played numerous festivals like Pukkelpop (B), Evilfest (UK), European HC Party (NL), Hellfest-Syracuse (USA), Superbowl of HC (F) and Goodlife Summer Fest (B).

On their first 3 albums their vision of the world is depicted as a dark and pessimistic universe, their ideas and lyrics clashing with the usual clich..s and dreamers of the hardcore scene.

Length Of Time’s music is full of true background metal influences, allying with the sounds and the heavy weights of heavy metal, who are without mention Black Sabbath, Alice in Chains and other geniuses with obscure tendencies.

For 2003 Length Of Time puts their stamp on a style, which marks the end of a quiet year, spent preparing and recording their latest album "ANTIWORLD", which contains 10 tracks, exploring different themes, may it be utopia (rock 'n' roll, attitude, showbusiness,...) or devastation (globalization, war, society,...), embracing each human being.

"ANTIWORLD" stands for a symbol, well adjusted to our era, which we are free to define ourselves. The mixing and production was assigned to Andr.. Gielen (Channel Z..ro, Deviate, Asphyxia,...) and Philippe Renotte, who have captured the strength and freshness of LOT, available to them on one single, unique album "ANTIWORLD".

While the band was on the road with Suicidal Tendencies, Madball, Ignite and more, as part of the 2003 Eastpack Resistance Tour, "Antiworld" got released on Roadrunner Records in France.

After being 2 years and a half on hiatus, the band has taken the way back to the stages...

DEAFENING SKY (BE) Emo / Hardcore / Metal
Deafening Sky
Deafening Sky is born in 1999, by the impulsion of then 16 year old hardcore kids. After three years of existence and two demos, they began to find a sound of their own, and they had the opportunity to play everywhere in Belgium, with some great bands, such as Heaven Shall Burn, Caliban, Morda, Length of Time, Backbone, Course of Action, etc...

By late 2004, and after a few line up changes, they went to the “De Studio”. From that short session (5 days, mix included) came out their first mini cd, called “Maybe the End”.

It earned many good reviews in european specialized webzines. This MCD also allowed them to play some good shows along with some well known bands: 36 Crazyfists, Arkangel, Do or Die, Chimaera, Crimson Falls, Jane, The Setup, The Arrs, and many more...

Psalm
The history of Psalm goes back to early 2004.

David (drums) and Kevin (guitars), both former members of Broken Promises, a hardcore band, decided to launch a new project, soon named « Psalm ». Chris joined soon after as a second guitar player. The three of them then slowly started working on a couple of songs, moving from a hardcore basis to a more complex and modern sounding musical style.

Songs like The Agony Show (first album) were written at this early stage in the band’s life. Vocalist Thierry joined Psalm during the summer of 2004. The band could now move on and work on the vocal tracks. But a bass player was still needed, and no serious candidate seemed to be around. The solution was in fact at hand’s reach : Thierry brought in his old friend François, who was perfect for the job.

The band was completed in early 2005, and it could now seriously move forward. Songwriting was going well, and Psalm soon decided to record a first E.P., which came out around January/February 2005. The band also began playing shows wherever they could to spread the word out (see Shows section). During July 2005, a video was shot for the “single” Butterfly Suicide (check it out here), and the first demo was then re-released with a bonus DVD containing the video.

Around September/October 2005, the band had enough material to record its first album. After self-recording a pre-production, Psalm headed for Lunenburg, MA (USA), to Austin Enterprise studios, to record the album entitled Fortune’s Complexity (In Five Cycles Of Torments) with Steve Austin himself (Today Is The Day-mogul, worked by bands such as Lamb Of God, Converge,Â…), who took care of the mixing and the pre-mastering as well.

This fantastic experience lasted from January 31th to February 24th 2006. The music was written by the whole band, Thierry handled the lyrics and David the artwork for the album. Steve Austin was kind enough to appear as a guest vocalist on three tracks : The Vital Art Of Pretending, Eden’s Crucifixion and Closure. The album is a concept album about human life from birth to death. Every track is about a different event, obstacle or turning point one can encounter. The main character was kept anonymous for the story is meant to be universal. For more details, see Concept section.

Fortune’s Complexity was released in June 2006 on belgian label Genet Records (also co-producer), and the band then started the promotion, which they’re still working on at the moment.

Until today, Psalm has played with bands like Aborted, Amen Ra, Caliban, Heaven Shall Burn, As We Fight, Congress, Switchblade, Sworn Enemy, 100 Demons, Deadlock, The Ocean, The Chariot, Neaera, Satanic Surfers and many others.

The band is of course always open for any show propositions, so don’t hesitate to contact us (see Contact section). Kevin (guitars) was fired for serious non-musical issues. He was replaced around July 2006 by Sylvain (Deafening Sky), who is much more lead-guitar orientated. Although still promoting its debut album, Psalm is already working on new material, which will include a lot of new and extreme influences. Be preparedÂ…

Ex-Nihil
EX-NIHIL could be described as a deconstructed death metal band with heavy technical melodies and imaginative structures...

But EX-NIHIL can also be seen through its biographical point of view, as a musical project that started during spring 2004, when Jeffrey (guitar player) and Geoffrey (ex-Crazy About Silence drummer) decided to bring together their effort in a sort of new deconstruction-oriented musical experience...

In December of the same year, after a period of hard work, Bruno, also known as Stake 's charismatic legend, accepted to join the duo with Frank (ex-Nemesis Irae bass player).

Together, they started to deconstruct their influences in a way to recompose new musical identities which would be free from undue bias. A new chapter of brutality started to take shape, EX-NIHIL was born as fresh blood rose from nothing. after several working month, we have found a second guitarist : Pierre a.k.a Pich. We have equally foreseen dates (in SHOWS sections) And we record a first demo in the course of the spring 2006.

STAY TUNED

THE END OF ALL REASONS (BE) Death Metal / Emo / Hardcore
The End Of All Reasons
Started in 2004.

Switched drummers in 2006.

Shared the stage with numerous national and international bands like The Casino Brawl, The Maple Room, Morda, Lostfoundbroken, Bloodshot, Sparkle of Hope, Blood Redemption, Unreal, Angelreich, Deafening Sky, Sludge Phenomenon

When Blood Burns
< « When blood burns » was born in September 2006 from the fusion of two young bands from Brussels « Mushpeet (hardcore)» and « Vidism (melodic metal core)».

In the beginning, there was Nico singing, Brian and Ben playing guitar, Fabian playing bass and John at the drums. The band soon begins composing a couple of songs, giving itself a musical identity and a particular universe.

The guys are influenced by the numerous bands they like, mostly involved in the new American scene (« New wave of American heavy metal ») but also in hardcore, thrash, and death metal.

Therefore, you can hear melodic parts, mixed with « beat down » ‘s, and screams / growls definitely efficient.

After two months of hard rehearsing, « When blood burns » ‘s line-up encounters some changes in November 2006, as Nico decides to quit for personal reasons.

Then Fabian takes the mic. But that change is followed by a stand-by period, because of the intensive search for a bassist and a second singer. December 2006 is a new start for the band, with the arrival of Gaëtan (ex-Vidism ) as second singer and Arnaud (ex-singer of Dark sensation and guitarist in Bloody hands) at the bass.
