Guadalajara was founded in 1999. In 2001, they attain 2nd place at the "Austrian Newcomer Band contest" at the Orpheum in Graz. 2002 the band records its first full length album "All you can dance". Singer Ernesto leaves the band shortly afterwards because of private reasons. Guitarist Volker Schaffler takes over the microphone and now does both jobs. Trumpeter Bernhard Kaufmann and singer/guitarist Volker Schaffler write the lyrics. <br><br> In 2003 "Austria's best Ska band"(Slamzine 03) tours through Austria and Germany together with 3 Feet Smaller, And the winner is (D) and Cheek Dakota. After being discovered by Austrian alternative radio stations, their single "Mondays", a Bob Geldof cover, is on heavy rotation and Guadalajara becomes an insiders' tip. Finally, the song can be found in several radio charts and in the year's charts of Radio Soundportal 97, 9 FM. <br><br> In 2004 Guadalajara plays, besides a multitude of club gigs, at 2 two of the biggest Austrian rock festivals, the "2 Days A Week" festival in Wiesen and the "Frequency Festival" at the Salzburgring with bands like Velvet Revolver, The Offspring, Dropkick Murphys, Flogging Molly, Die Ärzte, Seeed, Shortly afterwards, Thomas Rathkolb, the long standing bassist, leaves the band to spend more time on his job. Together with temporary bassist Gerald Zollner the band records its 2nd album at the studio of Naked Lunch bassist Herwig "Fuzzman" Zamernik in December 2004. <br><br> Early in March 2005 the current album named "Trampled Pathways" (Acute Music/ Edel) is released and followed by a headliner tour through Austria with an average number of 300 visitors. "Trampled Pathways" is voted "record of the week" by Radio Soundportal 97, 9 FM and the first single "Short Time Romance" goes straight up to the 2nd place of the Soundportal charts. The song is on first place of the independent-club user charts for 2 weeks and stays at the Top Ten of the Campus Radio charts for some weeks. Additionally, the song is on rotation on Fm4 radio. From February to September 2005, Guadalajara plays about 50 gigs, for example at the "Aerodrome" festival with bands like Rammstein, Slipknot, The Hives, Asian Dub Foundation, as well as on the radio Fm4 stage at the Donauinselfest in Vienna. The Guadalajara-live-train is rolling and it seems to be unstoppable!!! <br><br>

Natif de la région Parisienne, SKAO voit le jour en 2003 et se crée rapidement une identité avec un répertoire très personnel alliant homogénéité et efficacité ! Un Cocktail Rock/Ska/Punk/Groove détonnant emmené par une voix féminine, rappelant aux bons souvenirs des No Doubt et autre Save FerrisÂ… Depuis 2004, le groupe multiplie les concerts (France/Suisse/Belgique..) et se forge par la même occasion un véritable caractère scénique emprunt d’énergie et de spontanéité ! SKAO a notamment pu se produire au cours de sa dernière tournée dans des lieux comme La Laiterie, L’Elysée Montmartre, Le Chabada, la MaroquinerieÂ… et partager la scène avec des groupes aussi divers que Big Mama, Los 3 Puntos, Skarface, 100 Grammes de têtes, Maximum Kouette, Les Caméléons, Hushpuppies , New York Ska Jazz EnsembleÂ… . Fort de ces acquis SKAO s’affirme maintenant de plus en plus comme l’une des valeurs montantes de la scène alternative Française. L’accueil réservé par le public et les professionnels à leur premier 4 titres réalisé en 2005 (plus de 1500 exemplaires écoulés !) est d’ailleurs là pour en témoigner ! <br><br> En 2008, le groupe repars pour une nouvelle tournée, afin de présenter son premier album : « L’O qui dort » qui est sorti en Février(Follow me Records/PIAS). Les 10 morceaux qui constituent cet opus (Réalisé avec l’aide de Stéphane Marchand : Small Axe / Big Mama) laissent place à une réelle ouverture des genres (Ska, Punk, Funk et Reggae ) tout en gardant la cohérence d’un groupe résolument Rock . « L’O QUI DORT » est un album à découvrir sans modération. Une petite perle débordante de pêche et d’honnêteté !

Issu de formations musicales diverses et formé fin 2004, le sun system evolue aujourd'hui entre les ska, le reggae, le funk ou encore le rock... Après une vingtaine de concerts sur Bruxelles et en wallonie sur des scenes comme le botanique, le magasin4, massif festival, !! libertad !! festival... le groupe enregistre une premiere demo a la mj de braine l'alleud. <br><br> Fin novembre 2006 **, !! arret de jeu !! le Sun System fait une pause de 6 mois due au depart a l'etranger du batteur et de la chanteuse. le temps pour ceux restés en belgique de travailler un nouveau projet qui prend doucement forme.. >>>>>>>>>>> ** juillet 2007 ** : !! Le groupe de nouveau au complet le sun system repart avec un nouveau projet : le groupe ancienement appellé "Chilling Sun System" devient "The Sun System". nouveau nom, nouveau chanteur, nouvelle compos, The sun system monte sur scene pour la "premiere" fois a l'editions 2007 du massif festival de braine l'alleud... affaire a suivre.. just to chill <br><br>
