Keelhaul is a four piece progressive stoner/sludge metal band from Cleveland, Ohio, formed in 1997. The members are Aaron Dallison (bass and vocals), Dana Embrose (guitar), Will Scharf (drums), and Chris Smith (guitar and vocals).
The band’s toured Europe in April 2004, and subsequently went on a lengthly break. With no tours or new music recorded, Keelhaul entered the studio in December 2008 with producer Andrew Schneider to record their new album, Keelhaul’s Triumphant Return to Obscurity. In the same month, the band resumed live activity with two shows, one in Philadelphia and the other in New York.
Bruce Lamont joined Yakuza in feb of 2000 and since the group has recorded 4 full lengths including their latest release "Transmutations"(prosthetic).His other projects include Forced Transcendence (rotating members.. saxophonist Dave Rempis, cellist Fred Lonberg-holm, brutal truth and sometimes painkiller vocalist Kevin Sharp, buried at sea/minsk mastermind Sanford Parker, and Jim yakuza), Moment Of Inertia ( guitarist Jeff Parker, bass player Nate Mcbride, and drummer Frank Rosaly), Mahj (featuring members from behold the arctopus, dysrhythmia, and day without dawn/ex-postman syndrome), Decayist (w/Nachtmystium frontman Blake Judd), Sick Gazelle (with guitarist Eric Block), Bloodiest (feat.mbrs of 90 Day Men and Sterling), and Ibex (RIP Included members of Corpse Vomit). Bruce has recorded wth the japanese black-metal turned space-prog band Sigh (The End),East West Blast Test (on Ipecac), Ken Vandermark for one of the next Dalek records, Jai-alai Savant ( out now on GSL),Cephalic Carnage (relapse), Minsk(relapse), Nachtmystium (century media), Rabid Rabbit,Poison Arrows (file 13), Sectara,STAYTE (13th planet), Brutal Truth,Hex Machine, and others. In july of 2006 he made is debut solo perfomance using a looper pedal and effects along with saxophones, guitar, voice, harp, and percussion. he has performed along side Scott Kelly (neurosis), Battles, John Cale (Velvet Underground) Toby Driver(kayo dot),OM, Daniel Higgs (lungfish), Lichens, and appeared at the Relapse and Furniture record showcases @ the SXSW music festival. . Hes jammed with the Akron Family, Stooges sax man Steve Mackay and his band the Radon Ensemble, Midnight Snake,Michael Zerang,Eugene Robinson(oxbow),Borbetomagus (recording out there somewhere), and teamed up with Mark Solotroff (bloodyminded, recording avail now through bloodlust.)
Castles consists of four elements - the drums, the electric bass, the electric guitar and the human voice.
A mutual friend introduced Bertrand Bourguignon, Jérome Considérant and Edward Godby in late May 2010. This international concoction was unlikely, a curious feature in many of history’s most inspiring partnerships. The collective compositions of Godby, Considérant and Bourguignon take elements from across the spectrum of heavy rock music, played loud and hard. They pride themselves on challenging and innovative structures, capturing an atmosphere of intensity. There are few verses and choruses. There are no gimmicks. Castles is a new band with new ideas.

Here, in this place, where I have stood and served generation after generation of your thankless people. My tenure has seen all ages come and go. Death and birth, success and failure, love, sin, compassion and hatred have all been housed and protected. I have weathered the storm. I have been faithful. I have been a safe haven, a refuge, and for all my years of experience I can say one thing, unequivocally: when you meet your maker, he shall be far from divine.
