THE RED CHILDHOOD. More than 2000 concerts from 1995, from Vilnius to Tbilissi, from Swinoujscie to Sevilla as from Prague to Tunis, invited by international festivals, theatres and clubs. Electricity. Blue lights. Still uncontrolled.
Avant-rock. Without boundaries, neither musical nor geographical. The European press talks about them as crossroads between introversion and acceleration, between cerebralism and wildness or barbarity. Unpredictables.

Born in 1998 in the area of Andenne through the meeting of Jérôme Henriette and Sébastien Schmit (now active in the free noise band K-Branding), Quiet has played a considerable lot of gigs all around the southern part of Belgium, reaching on their way the finals of the Concours Circuit 2001. During that period, Quiet will have recorded two demos (A bitter place & Washday) and one EP (From the bridge, I see light) for which they incorporate Jérôme Monet in the Quiet team but the line-up will not survive the heatwave of summer 2004. But after a three-year-long break during which one the members of the band concentrate on various personal projects (MeandIalone, Tristamine, projects in Jazz and contemporary classical music), Quiet comes back with a brand new rythm section and releases a new demo without fanfare (The Past factory). On stage, the performances of the band are a perfect mix of power, melancholy, rage and nostalgia, drowned in some kind of fatalism. In March 2009, Quiet pushes the door of the studio open to finally start recording their very first album : The Grammar of Night ; the night being the ideal moment for conjugating the restless wondering of an existence in all the possible modalities. Still offering their musical colors and drawing tortured lyrics from the well of their existential doubts thanks to which the band gained reputation on the local independent scene, Quiet has added a new range of tones by using electronical instruments ans classical instruments. This new evolution marks a turning point in the history of the band, driving the quatuor towards territories they hadn't explored yet. Quiet should find an audience among indie rock fans who might find in their music emo influences and a hypersensitivity recalling bands such as Blonde redhead, Chokebore or Elliott Smith.
