The Fabulous Progerians are a three-piece that radiates throughout the Brussels’ underground and its surroundings. This heavy and fat paving block seeks to translate youth’s anxiety, agonising in unemployment and lust offered by the modern world for lack of a future.   Their influences go far back into prehistory, but it’s somewhere between Punk and Sludge that the band likes to find its secret harmonies.   Known for powerful performances, they are usually joined by other musicians who widen even more the sound spectrum and universe of the band.   Think sludge, acceleration, groove, sweat, loud, party, psyche, punk, thirst!

Nom emprunté à une chanson de Motorpsycho, Taïfun déchaîne les éléments naturels d’un indie rock léché et puissant. Des vents modérés à la tempête, il n’y a souvent qu’un souffle que ce quatuor guitares-basse-batterie franchit à la vitesse de l’éclair. Et si les chants semblent vouloir amadouer les cieux, l’orage n’est pourtant jamais très loin. Dans la lignée de Modest Mouse, Reiziger, Van Pelt, Q and not U et autres Norvégiens précités! C'est du rock rageur aux mélodies exaltantes nées de la rencontre en 2006 de passionnés de distorsions. Après quelques mois ils sortent un EP « Sweat & Sour ». Il a fallût 2 ans et le remplacement successif de 2 musiciens pour trouver l’équilibre début 2008.
Aujourd’hui, les quatre membres du groupe sont tous pris dans la fièvre de ce qui les unit : une musique qui frappe la gueule et qui dit merde.

Le premier album: PIG BROTHER
Pignition a voulu donner un son très lourd à ses mélodies proches de la pop. C’est là que Johan Millet, producteur
de l’album, a pris les choses en mains. L’énergie dégagée par cet album a été puisée dans les années 90 sans tomber dans les clichés de cette époque.
