Le Chat Noir are hard-rockin' Transatlantic desperadoes Teddy Hesper and Eileen Spruce. The band formed in the winter of 2006, shortly after Spruce moved to England from her native Los Angeles. <br><br> Since then the duo have hit the European gigging circuit hard and never taken their foot off the accelerator, performing close to 300 gigs in 8 different countries, their full throttle live performances leaving stages soaked with sweat and blood and littered with broken drumsticks. <br><br> Along the way, Teddy and Eileen have shared a stage with acts such as Motorhead, UFO, Saxon (Bulldog Bash, UK, 2009), The Sonics, MC5, The Dwarves, Wanda Jackson, The Bellrays (Sjock Festival, BE, 2008), The Datsuns (Rock Wauberg, BE, 2009), The Gories, The Oblivians (Blast Off!, UK, 2009), Nine Black Alps (Centre Spot, UK, 2009), and The Kids (Nonsense Festival, BE, 2008). <br><br> Le Chat Noir have recorded and released three albums through Garage Sale Records. Lyrically, the albums are a thematic trilogy of gritty tales based in a fictional setting that is part lawless Wild West, part shadowy film noir - featuring stories about femme fatales, hard liquor, murder and dark intrigue. Debut album Tales From Silver City was voted Playmusic Magazine’s Best Unsigned Recording of 2006 and quickly sold out; 2007's Deadwood is also close to being sold out, whilst a third studio album, Postcards From The Dark Highway, was released in May 2009. <br><br>

No nonsense rock’n’roll noemde musiclive hen, enkel de performance was wat zwak. Inderdaad elke groep heeft eens een slechte dag, maar op andere optredens wisten ze elke keer weer te overtuigen. Een van de meest energieke bands die we hier al hebben gezien noemde men hen in JH JIA te Anderlecht en begin maart, een jaar na hun eerste kennismaking wisten ze al enkele optredens vast te krijgen, los van een of andere wedstrijd of dergelijke, gewoon hun eigen muziek. Met een naam waarvan niemand de juiste betekenis kent, een heleboel nieuwe songs en de energie waartegen de atoombom op Hiroshima niets is, blazen deze drie heren de Belgische rockscene nieuw leven in.

The Archbishops est un groupe namurois aux mélanges rock’n’roll tant ‘oldies ‘ qu’actuels (Creedence Clearwater Revival,the Doors,Iggy and the Stooges,The Rolling Stones,The Libertines ,Kings of Leon,Louis XIV, The Brian Jonestown Massacre etcÂ…)Â… Né à la suite d’une reformation,fin février 2006,The Archbishops tente vite de se faire remarquer ;ce qui lui permet de se retrouver sur l’affiche des fêtes de la musique de Louvain-la-Neuve en à peine 3 mois d’existence,partageant l’affiche avec Major Deluxe et SweekÂ…Ce qui lui vaudra notamment une première ‘pseudo’ critique : « Place des Wallons, The Archbishops était aussi convaincant, nous livrant un rock puissant et bien construit ; une très bonne prestation du guitariste. » The Archbishops se voit plutôt comme un groupe s’appuyant sur une section rythmique solide,sur un ‘guitar heroe’ révolutionaire aux solos déjantés et sur un chanteur charismatique insouciant qui chante haut et fort. . .
