Fièrement issu de la scène underground LYCOSIA s’est imposé, 10 ans après sa
formation, comme l’un des groupes les plus influents de la scène dark
française. Après une centaine de concerts, trois albums et un maxi produits
par Kit Woolven (Cradle of Filth, Thin Lizzy, Cathedral, Anathema, David
GilmourÂ…) et Stéphane Buriez (Loudblast, Black Bomb AÂ…) LYCOSIA a toujours

public portaient en LYCOSIA.
<br><br>

Garage Rock, Heavy Metal, Gothic-Glam, 70’s Punk/Shock Rock...

DEAD SEXY INC.
<br><br>
A history To make a long and dirty story short the sexy duet of Dead Sexy Inc. left France in 2000 to move together to Los Angeles and get a slice of the Hellywood dream. At the time, both professional teenagers were working on separte music projects (LTNO, Marc Yellin, BionicaÂ…) but shared the same love of early electro stuff, punk rock, no wave, new wave, girls lipstick and vodka Redbull.
<br><br>
Soon enough the new Angelinos started workin together on a couple of remixes for bands like Pitchshifter, Punish Yourself, spined records together a lot in LA, Paris and found that they already had a sound that was close to « nothing but the Dead Sexy Inc ».
<br><br>
In between Paris and Los Angeles they wrote a bunch of songs, played them around and asked producer Paul «P.K. » Kendall (Depeche Mode, Recoil, NIN..) if he’d like to work on them.
<br><br>
Then, the magic started. « Break Me » got produced by PK for Electro Shock Records (Germany 2003), then found a house on Hypnotic/Cleopatra in 2004, the number one american electro goth record company. At the time there was already some very good inspiration in the air, Dj Hell, Larry Tee (who got them their « Electro Disco Punk » trademark), Fisherspooner, Peaches, The Faint, Fatrucker, Felix THC and Kittin.. things that carried that creative essence of underground without the commercial suicide.
<br><br>
Within a year, the Dead Sexy Inc. did more Dj sets, remixes (Marilyn Manson, Indochine, Cool Kids Of Death..), wrote more songs and watched the hype grow more and more. « It seemed that the less we cared about thing to do to be hyped.» the more they got attention. Their songs got featured on numbers of compilations worldwide (« ElectroClash Vol 2 » on Mogul Rec, « Dance to the underground » on Virgin, Dan Mancini’s « These blues don’t belong to me », « Zinc Music » in NYC Zinc MagazineÂ…).
<br><br>
They also played tribute to Johnny Thunders with a cover of « Born To Lose », did a version of french Jet Boy Jet Girl (« Ca plane Pour Moi ») for « The Great Electrocash Swinddle » mixed by Mount Sims for Cleopatra, and wrote the music for the 2005 Nintendo campaign and for « Baten Kaitos » video game add.
<br><br>
At the same time, french superstars Indochine asked them to record a virtual soundtrack for the opening of their sold out tour, and they released their first mixed compilation for the big evil Universal (« Mix Shake » with Peaches, Sigue Sigue Sputnick, Lords of the New ChurchÂ…) that sold more than 25000 copies. Their DJ activities at their peak, they started a monthly residence at club « Pulp » in Paris in 2003, at the « Twins » with Elodie Nelson in 2004 and at newly hyped « La Flèche d’Or » in 2006Â… In between gigs and DJ sets, they played Numéro festival (Lisbonne) with Fischerspooner and Miss Kittin, Music Outsider Festival with Larry Tee in New YorkÂ…
<br><br>
In 2005, they leave Los Angeles behind and shoot a road movie in between California and New York City, traveling 8000 miles in the US, one month before the elections to meet artists, painters, writers, performers, tramps and strippersÂ… « We had a dream » became a highly anticipated poetic, political and sexy road movie produced by Agnes B(DVD release in 2007). During the shooting of the movie they crossed path and interviewed such artists as Thurston Moore, Jonas Mekas, Jim Fœtus, Chas Krider, John GiornoÂ… and ended up relocating in New York City where the finished the edit and the mix of the movie soundtrack, recorded on the road. The movie soundtrack got played live at Festival Idéal de Nantes en avril 2005 on support of E Neubauten.

The band became then a full power trio with Don Ragno (Lycosia) on drums. In a few month, they open for Vive La Fête at La Locomotive (Paris), they played SXSW festival in Austin, Los Angeles, Sacramento... Their cover of Johnny Thunder’s « Born To Lose » happens to be on Steve Jones from Sex Pistols’ playlist for his show Jonesy Jukebox on Indie 101 in Los Angeles.
<br><br>
Fall 2005/006, Dead Sexy Inc. wrote 2 songs for Larry Tee’s new record « Rock ‘n’rave » with Princess Superstar, Marc Bell of LFO, Boy Georges and Vince Clarck of Erasure/Depeche Mode. In between serious DJ hits at The Cock London, The Look New York, D Club lauzanne, Barbie Deinhof Berlin, Castle Party Festival Poland, Pod Club Moscow...and ParisParis, Maxim's, Black Calavados, Truskell, Divan du monde Neo, ...Colette store Paris, they organised party and festival at La fleche d'Or and invited, selfish Cunt, Noblesse Oblige, Princess Julia, Mignon, Spencer Product, Pravda, Rich&Kool, XWife... Dead Sexy started tracking it’s next record « Kamikaze » with Paul Kendall. And they already played new songs such as « Black Box Baby » and « Afterhours » at Latitude Festival in the UK, at Lausanne Gay Pride in switzerland, and in the Institute Of contemporary Art of the Tate Galery in Londres. While they are half done with the recording of « Kamikaze », they started a few photo exibitions (Stéphane and Emmanuel have been shot by notorious photographers such as Karl Lagerfeld, Chas Krider (Motel Fetish), Melissa Rodwell, Nick Adams, Robin Black, Toni Notar BernardinoÂ…), and found time to remix « Adora » Indochine last sold out new single, to track 2 songs for the release of the Nintendo « DS Lite » and upcoming « WII »Â… Not to forget about Playstation, they played live for the European release of « Guitar Hero 2» ...and in december played few gigs in Japan to kill 2006...
