According to BBC online: MoHa! offer a kind of arhythmically funky heavy metal musique concrete, sourced from electric guitar, drums and a laptop.

Text from Rune Grammofon: MoHa! is the latest Rune Grammofon signing and the youngest artists on the label as well. Guitarist Anders Hana turned 23 the day before he and longtime friend Morten J. Olsen (24) went into Athletic Sound in August 2005 to record "Raus Aus Stavanger", their first proper release as a duo. They have played together for 8 years and have recorded together with American saxophone player Andrew D´Angelo as Morthana, with Norwegian sax player Frode Gjerstad and Noxagt bassist Kjetil Brandsdal as Ultralyd and in a quartet with Gjerstad and bassist Per Zanussi. As a duo they have also released two very limited CD-R´s during the last 2 years. First release, "det e jo rock for faen" on ENLIGHTENMENT is sold out, second release "rock; meg i rauå" and the 7" "Rock/Off - siste del i trilogien med rock i navnet" is out on HUMBUG!

Pour The Forks, l’Art doit être vivant. Donc éphémère, fugace, imparfait, incertain. Un peu comme une pièce de théâtre qu’on rejoue chaque soir sans savoir si on arrivera au bout cette fois-ci.
Car, dans l’Art comme dans la Vie, il faut parfois savoir se mettre en danger pour toucher du doigt l’intime, le beau, le vrai.

Plutôt que de se cacher derrière le confort de l’overdub et des logiciels de retouche, ce jeune duo guitare / batterie a donc décidé d’enregistrer son premier disque d’une seule traite. Du premier au dernier morceau. Comme un concert sans public. Eux qui jouent habituellement au beau milieu des spectateurs pour se sentir vibrer à l’extrême.

Le disque que vous écoutez est par conséquent unique. Il aurait été différent s’il avait été enregistré la veille, et encore bien autre le lendemain.

Il est surtout à l’image de son processus. Une tension palpable transpire à chaque instant de ce dialogue maîtrisé entre les deux instruments. Le post-noise des deux hommes joue ainsi les funambules sur une corde raide, tirée à s’en rompre entre rage canalisée et moments de grâce intense, comme ont su aussi le faire Shellac, Slint ou Lightning Bolt en d’autres temps. On ferme les yeux parfois, on se crispe souvent, mais l’équilibriste avance pas après pas.

Au final, The Forks ont eu raison. Ce premier album est incertain et imparfait. Fugace et éphémère. Mais il est vivant.
