The Negro Conspiracy
Electro / Hip Hop
FLICT (UK) Hip Hop / Drum And Bass
Flict were formed almost 10yrs ago when Rolly (Bass) and Jim (Guitar) began to take an interest in musicianship and playing an instrument, they started to teach themselves the basics until they had grasped the concept.... One afternoon out skating they came across a rehearsal studio and thought it would be a laugh to check the rates and perhaps book a session, Long time friend and fellow band mate Illaman attended the same school and had been mc'ing at local parties/raves and pirate radio stations from the age of 15 and as they knew this approached him and other fellow band mate Ray(Murph)Who had also developed a taste for the Guitar and had been teaching himself to join them for a jam at the rehearsal studio, And what began as simple friendship and shared passion for music became the monster now known as flict...! After a good 6months of getting drunk/stoned and simply fucking around songs began to take form and Jim's younger brother Dutch (Adam) came to a studio session to see what was going on and as he had a small knowledge of the drums automatically became first candidate to take over from Jim who was then playing drums just because he could! A few weeks later a friend invited flict to play a battle of the bands @ The Garage 1999 Flict had no finished songs just a mish mash of live drum'n'bass/metal/hip hop/garage style ideas which really didnt have much composition but needed organising. Not to mention there was only one 4hr rehearsal available before the gig...So we put together a 4 song set got every single person we knew to come and support and the result was success first place out of 9 bands, Our first recording session at a top studio and something under our belts...This forced us to take things a lot more serious! After playing gigs for 9yrs from everywhere to The Ballroom(Camden)Metro(Tot Court Road)Barfly(Camden),Water Rats(Kings Cross),Camden Palace,Concorde2(Brighton)The Metal Hammer Tour across the UK and so many more Flict's live experience is not to be missed! GET IT STRAIGHT THIS BAND IS NO HOLDS BARRED!!!! Big shouts to Jim Rest in Peace Brother! Forever Loved, Forever Missed!
THE NEGRO CONSPIRACY (BE) Black Metal / Rock And Roll
The Negro Conspiracy
Born about a year ago out of the ashes of the new school hardcore band UNUSUAL, THE NEGRO CONSPIRACY draws its influences from hardcore rock'n'roll on the one hand and Afro-American music (Blues, Funk, Soul, Hip-Hop, Jazz) on the other... Their style is a very energetic, loud and rhythmical one - they call it black'n'roll...

Thanks to the keen support of KEN GILES (sound engineer: Sister of Mercy/CEO: Drawmer distribution Ltd, Soundfield Ltd, KGM Ltd) The Negro Conspiracy recorded their first EP "Black'n'roll" in march 2006 at RADAR STUDIO (Castleford, West Yorkshire, England) with recording engineer RICHARD LACY [EDEN'S BRIDGE] and post-production engineer Richard Kimmings.

"Ward off the spell" has been recorded live at the EP's release party@LE RECYCL'ART (Brussels) by Mathias Widtskiöld and mixed by John Van Steenlandt.

These lads are going to go places! - Alain Duchesne (Buttercuts Records Ltd)
