An Albatross est à la croisée des Locust et d'Orchid, mixture explosive de powerscreamopopdisconoiseleronica à l'énergie hardcore, aux morceaux très courts, épileptiques et sans pitié pour les neurones. Toutefois, le combo affirme un caractère mais aussi un style qui va bien au delà d'une simple dérivation éphémère du screamo. Le clavier toujours très cheap, les quelques cuivres bien intégrés et les samples technoïdes associés aux partitions traditionnelles ne donnent jamais dans la surenchère pour faire mouche. Sur scène, la bande de Philadelphie sait parfaitement doser ses étonnants numéros de cirque, ses pitreries en direct. Car An Albatross offre autant à voir qu’à entendre.
