Impetuous Ritual emerged in 2009 with their debut album “Relentless Execution Of Ceremonial Excresence” on Profound Lore Records to an unsuspecting death metal scene and with their debut LP, raised the bar for underground death metal like no other band. Most notably it would be the band’s unhinged live show where the true power of Impetuous Ritual would emanate from and where the band would gain the reputation as one of the most devastating live bands in death metal today.
Impetuous Ritual have forged their own path with four unique soul crushing albums “Relentless…”, “Unholy…”, “Blight…”, and “Iniquitous...”, each descending further into the void; engulfed in a barrage of chaos and flames. Degradation of mind, body and spirit coalescing into paradoxical enlightenment.
In 2023, Impetuous Ritual unleashed "Iniquitous Barbarik Synthesis" upon the world. An evolution of previously established sounds, "Iniquitous..." showcases the pummeling ferocity that fans of the band have come to expect, supplemented by further experimentations with dense, brooding atmosphere. "Iniquitous..." stands unique in it's approach to violent extreme metal and serves as a reminder that boundaries exist to be re-written.

2011 / On the ashes of BLOODY SIGN (1995-2010), guitar player Kalevi Uibo & drummer Ilmar Uibo – later joined by guitar player Etienne Testart (CHILDREN OF DOOM, EVISCERATION) and bass player/visual artist Stefan Thanneur – found CHAOS ECHŒS with the intent to transport their dark death metal to a black hole of improvisations, psychedelia and trance. Another distinctive feature is their will to extract the material out of its formal and acoustic envelope to generate a hybrid vitality. Thus, from the CHAOS ECHŒS entity, various shapes can emanate : solo, duo, art installation…    April 2012 / Recording of the first manifestation, « Tone Of Things To Come », during three days at Le Grillen, Colmar (France) with Guillaume Schleret. During three days, Kalevi and Ilmar play five sets of dark, death driven improvisations, obscure and creepy soundscapes – including guitars, drums, percussions, horns, vocals, effects and more –, with special guest Marcelo Aguirre on vocals... sharing the bill with bands like SADISTIC INTENT, NECROS CHRISTOS, MASTER, etc.   September 2012 / Release of « Tone Of Things To Come », as a 6-track gatefold digisleeve CD, through the band’s own imprint Chaos Echœs Products.   July 2013 / Vinyl edition of « Tone of Things to Come » released by french record label Debemur Morti Productions, and exclusively distributed in the U.S. of A. by Hells Headbangers Records.   July 2013 / « Parisian Sessions /Rehearsal I », a tape edition of four instrumental improvisations taken from the band’s very first rehearsal session, is released by I.K. Productions.   September 2013 / Release of « Duo Experience /Spectral Affinities », as a handcrafted CD-R edition of fifty numbered copies, through Chaos Echœs Products. Five instrumental tracks of dark and creepy improvisations recorded by Kalevi and Ilmar during the summer of 2012.   September 2013 / First live performance at La Boule Noire in Paris, France during the Kill The Hype #2 event, opening for HEDVIG MOLLESTAD TRIO.   June 2014 / Release of « A Voiceless Ritual », recorded live at La Boule Noire in Paris, on September 28, 2013, through the very limited handcrafted CD-R edition series from Chaos Echœs Products. A new run of « Duo Experience /Spectral Affinities » is available again as well, with an alternative packaging.   August 2014 / « Transient », debut album for californian record label Nuclear War Now! Productions, is recorded by Didier Houbre at Downtown Studios in Strasbourg (France).   October 2014 / « Transient » is mixed by Cyrille Gachet at Dick Doom Studio in Bordeaux (France).   November 2014 / « Transient » is mastered by James Plotkin at Plotkinworks in Bethlehem, PA (US of A). « Tone of Things to Come » is released as a limited cassette edition by american label Sol y Nieve on Nov. 27th.   December 2014 - January 2015 / Etienne Testart quits for personal reasons. The band welcomes Fabien W. Furter.
