Born and raised in the cookie cutter suburbs LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA : 1991, daughter of an American Harvard alumni and a Mexican lawyer. Nicole found escape in the world of dirty late--night music and parties much too young "Multi---instrumentalist and vocalist.
Los Angeles has heard the sound of Nicole Izobel's sultry voice crooning 1920's jazz as well as the screeching of her 1960's Farfisa in LIVING SICKNESS a local garage/punkband. Played Shows at Egyptian Theatre, Redwood Bar, Bordello, The Echo, Nicole pops up in
unexpected places. Nicole had a Band together with the One and Only DELANEY DAVIDSON , they played
in Europe a several times !
Formé en 2013 au Pays Noir (aka Charleroi, Belgique), le trio aiguise d'abord ses cordes sur des riffs punks saturés avant d'être touché par le maléfice de Robert Johnson. Se vouant désormais à une musique obsédée par son héritage, les trois musiciens vous le diront ; ils se savent hantés par les fantômes du blues de la musique roots qui ne cessent de réapparaître.
Laissant le blues imbiber leur patte sonore, Deadline n'en perd pourtant pas moins son noyau dur, empreint de tungstène et de gasoil, résolument gasoline rock.
Non moins schizophréniques, les deux chanteurs antagoniques Quiet Ben et Simon Wray s'échangent ainsi tour à tour leurs instruments sur scène ; guitare, basse, harmonica, dans un duel électrique et sur le jeu de batterie maîtrisé de Simon Blue King.
Depuis sa formation, le groupe a ainsi pu déverser son rock'n'roll dans des salles comme le Rockerill, l'Eden, le Magasin 4, l'Atelier 210, la Nuit du Blues, et l'Humo's Rock Rally.
Leur deuxième EP Those Who Inhabit This Land est sorti en novembre 2018.
Jenkinses formèrent à Bruxelles en 2013 autour des guitares tranchantes de Juliette Drumel et JP Neligan (Nervous Shakes, Contingent), et se voit complété par le bassiste Vince D'Aguanno, vétéran de la première scène punk rock belge, et depuis 2021, par la frappe tourbillonante du batteur Reno Arents.
La carte de visite des Jenkinses? Du Rock'n'Roll (à R majuscules) anglophone, à la fois tonitruant et sensible, cru et raffiné, caustique et doux. Un coup de poing américain dans un gant de velours. Energie punk, sensibilité pop, esprit rock, âme celtique. Du Rock'n'Roll, quoi. Singularisé par des compositions originales de qualité (bref, ce n'est pas que des riffs, bien qu'il y en ai!).
Après 2 ep's auto produits (un 4 titres éponyme en 2014, suivi du très efficace "Langered" en 2017), l'année 2024 voit la publication vinyle du magistral album "Miracle Reasoning". 12 titres décapants, classieux et intemporels, faisant honneur à leurs racines de la vieille école, tout en étant incontestablement contemporain.
Jenkinses formed in 2013 around the nucleus of duelling guitarists Juliette Drumel and James Neligan, with the mission statement of pumping the warm lifeblood of rock'n'roll into this cold, soundbite-driven world. The line-up is rounded out by bassist Vince D'Aguanno, a veteran of the first-wave Brussels punk-rock scene, and the whirlwind beat of drummer Reno Arents.
The Jenkinses' calling card is A-grade rock'n'roll, played in the dancing-on-a-tightrope, edge-of-your-seat style, a wall of sound and melody that lurches precariously, without ever falling apart.
