Terrorizer LA
Terrorizer is an American grindcore band formed in 1986 in Los Angeles, California. Founded by Oscar Garcia (Nausea), Jesse Pintado and Pete Sandoval. The band went on to record its inaugural album, World Downfall, in 1989 along with David Vincent (Morbid Angel) on bass. The album is seen as one of the classics of early grindcore. Several of the songs were written by Oscar Garcia for Nausea, but the band was short on time in the studio and used the Nausea songs (“After World Obliteration,” “Corporation Pull-in” among many others) to fill out the album.    In early 2005 it was rumored that Terrorizer were to reform with their original line-up; however, of the original line up, only Jesse Pintado and Pete Sandoval returned, while Oscar Garcia went back to working on Nausea material. Jesse Pintado passed away in 2006, precluding any further Terrorizer shows with the original line-up.   In 2014, Oscar Garcia was invited by Jesse Pintado’s sister to put together a new lineup of Terrorizer (his version known as Terrorizer LA or TLA) for a festival celebrating what would have been Jesse Pintado’s 45th birthday. He asked fellow Nausea member Leon del Muerte (Murder Construct) to play guitar, and shortly afterward Cosmo Reveles, Rick Cortez (Sadistic Intent) and Mike Caffell (Dreaming Dead, Exhausted Prayer) were recruited to fill out the band.    After the highly anticipated and successful performance at Grindcore JP 2014, Terrorizer LA is now planning shows for 2015 and beyond.   Terrorizer LA is:   Oscar Garcia - Vocals Leon del Muerte - Guitar Rick Cortez - Guitar Cosmo Reveles - Bass Mike Caffell - Drums
Somewhere in 2001 we re-established an old school grindcore band called I scream: Protest. We only played 2 gigs and after kicking out the only original member we changed our name and recorded our demo under the name of F.U.B.A.R. It saw the light of day in the beginning of 2002.  Whit a demo in hands we started to play as much as possible and soon after we started to write new songs for our first release, a split with American grinders: Catheter. It was released somewhere in 2003.  After that more shows, gigs like Obscene extreme, giants of grind, on a boat, in a tent, a lot of squats, Soos Plock, Bloodshedfest and whit bands like Phobia, My Minds Mine, Autoritär, Last days of humanity, Regurgitate, Sculs and Flames, Sayyadina, always good times and good friends. We also did some little tours with Ohlo de Gato and Matka Teresa, which we released a 7inch and a demo tape with.  2005 was a good year for F.U.B.A.R., we were very happy to released our first full length cd on Bones Brigade Records. And we also got on a plane to do a tour in Brazil together with Evokers and Bart Boumans. Back home we started to work on an split with our friends of Blood I Bleed. And after having seen Splitter play we decided it also would be very nice to do a split with them. That one was releases sometime in 2008. More shows more releases. We did a few European tours one on our own because Fuck That was not allowed to leave the country and one with Jesus Crost. We played Hellfest a few UK tours and a lot of shows around Europe. In 2009 we recorded splits with Sylvester Staline and K.S.K. In 2010 we did a release with Lycanthrophy. And finaly after to many years, we are no writing songs for a new full length cd/lp. We hope to release end 2011. And of course more gigs.
