This Is A Standoff

This Is a Standoff is a Canadian melodic hardcore/punk rock band.

After the demise of their former band Belvedere, songwriter/guitarist Steve Rawles and drummer Graham Churchill were set on starting a new project and getting back on the road. After joining forces with Forty Cent Fix’s John Meloche, they gathered in Calgary, Alberta to write songs for their first album. The line-up was soon rounded out by Corey Tapp, bassist of One Shot Left.

Following the release of two demo songs on MySpace, the band embarked on a month-long tour in Europe, sharing the stage with Mad Caddies, Action Men, Big D and the Kids Table, and Boysetsfire.

Their debut album, Be Excited, was released in October 2007, followed by a Canadian tour.

Their follow-up album, Be Disappointed was released in March 2009, followed by a European tour.

In an interview with AMP Magazine, Steve confirmed that the band are currently taking time off touring to write a follow-up album to Be Disappointed.

THE EVIDENCE (CA) Punk / Progressive
The Evidence

The Evidence is a progressive nerd punk band originating from Calgary. While their influences range from classic acts like Queen or Rush to hardcore ala Refused, the band has a concise sound that appeals to listeners of Bad Religion, Jimmy Eat World, Muse, or Green Day.
Their history includes plenty of highs: Warped tour, Junofest, and CMW appearances, a couple of hometown contest wins, and some love from local radio. The lows include broken van tours, broken bones, and broken bass players.
The sophomoric Currents album is both a product of their torrid past and an affirmation of  their future.

Struggling For Reason
Struggling For Reason is a Belgian Punk Rock band formed in 2007.  Over the past five years, the band crossed European roads many times to show what Belgian punk-rock is made of.  A lot of miles driven, hundreds of nice people met, never tired of bringing sweat and noise in Belgium, France, Luxembourg, Germany, England, Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovenia, Italy, Serbia, Bosnia, Switzerland,...
Face The Fax

FTF is a punkrock outfit that started out early 2004 in some stinky basement. With the right motiviation they had a first demo/setlist ready a few months later and started doing gigs. Back then FTF had a fourth member (dem Borre) who actually brought the band together. They’ve played many gigs, recorded a mini cd and some promo discs. Over the years FTF’s shows and songs have gotten even tighter then your average a-hole and the fans consider the outfit as an “energetic no-nonsense skatepunkband”.
