the USAISAMONSTER is a brilliantly fried two-piece guitar and drums band of sun spotters hailing from Brooklyn, NY. The band has roved the planet with instruments strapped to their backs playing the tops of mountains, skin-melting deserts, and rusted out America. The band has trekked across Europe, America (too many times to count), and Mexico. <br><br> The sound of the record is a synapse firing melt of rock and other-wordly whisper. The rock goes from balls out to a gentle, massaging hand reaching into your cortex. Think astral plane hitchhikers like MEAT PUPPETS and SABBATH in the same mental fart as LOAD two piece terrorists. The fidelity of this record is total. Both members of the band are in BLACK ELF SPEAKS, with a record out on Bulb Records. the USAISAMONSTER has two previous records on Infrasound. <br><br> The band will be mounting a US tour with frequent dates with LIGHTNING BOLT and other tribes such as FRIENDS FOREVER, NOXAGT and NECRONOMITRON. <br><br>

Animental is an outlet for expression in its purest form, drawing inspiration from animals. Animental explores the ideas of innate reactions and behavior of animals vs. the programmed or acceptable actions of the human animal. It hopes to empower the individual who is performing as well as transport the audience to another realm of reality. Inspiration, freedom, hope, creativity, individuality, power, and feminism are things Animental hopes to transpire. We use sound, costumes, movement, storytelling, props, lights and what ever else the participants and performers bring. no performance is like the other. This is Animental's third year. So far it has only included women. This is not a planned thing it just happened. I am proud to work with such radical women and hope to inspire many more along the way. <br><br> It all started a few years ago when Hanna Fushihara invited me to go to Mexico to create a show using fashion or costumes. My idea was that i would create a group of clothes or costumes that were inspired by animals. In addition i wanted participants to wear the costumes with animal masks and have light and sound to enhance the performance. Hanna also said that i could invite someone to work with me to create the light and sound and that she wanted to help make the masks using a paper mache technique. I invited Chiara Giovando to work with me in creating sound and light for the performance. Needless to say the Mexico contact flaked and the trip to Mexico was canceled, but the three of us had already began creating so we decided to take it on the road for 9 shows in the United States. When the next year came round you awesome folks invited Animental back so i invited Sara Shapouri and Sarah Waggner to work with me and the underwater Animental story was developed. This year i am inspired by birds and production is underway. It is going to rule! I hope yall see it and I see you. <br><br>
